BETHLEHEM, Pa. — An international male singing group that pioneered the genre of operatic pop in classical crossover music will return to Wind Creek Event Center.

Also coming to the center are a British-Irish comedian known for his edgy rapid-fire deadpan one-liners.

And a stand-up comedian and podcaster who stars on a Netflix comedy series.

Il Divo, which has topped the U.S. charts and put its first six albums in the Top 10 with its “popera” music, will play the event center at 8 p.m. Friday, March 28.

Comedian Jimmy Carr, who was the first British comedian to get a Netflix stand up special, with his "Funny Business" in 2016, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2025.

And comedian Stavros Halkias, who stars in the Netflix series "Tires," will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 10.

Tickets are on sale at the event center website or the box office at 77 Wind Creek Blvd. in Bethlehem. They're listed at $69.50 to $99.50 for Il Divo; $39.50 to $136.25 and $216 for "platinum" front-row experience for Carr (the show is for ages 16 and older); and $39.50 to $59.50 for Halkias.

Chart-toppers and series stars

The U.K.-based Il Divo was created by Simon Cowell of “American Idol” and “The X Factor,” and released its self-titled debut disc in 2004. It hit No. 4 and went platinum in the United States.

The group had its highest-charting success in America with 2005’s “Ancora,” which went to No. 1 and sold gold, making it the first classical crossover group to top the Billboard 200.

Il Divo in 2006 was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most commercially successful classical-crossover group in history.

In 2006, the group was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most commercially successful classical-crossover group in history.

In all, the group has sold more than 5 million copies of its albums in the United States.

Its latest, "XX," the group's 11th album, was released in February.

Members Urs Buhler, David Miller, Steven LaBrie and Sebastien Izambard have toured with Barbra Streisand and performed at President Obama’s inauguration ball in 2009.

The group also played Wind Creek, then called Sands Bethlehem Event Center, in 2013 and 2016.

Carr was host of the short-lived shock game show "Distraction" in 2006 and "Comedy Central Presents: Jimmy Carr."

He also was host of the Netflix series "The Fix" in 2018.

His 2016 Netflix stand up special "Funny Business" in 2016 was the first on the network by a British comedian.

Halkias, who was a popular podcaster, premiered in the Netflix series "Tires" with Shane Gillis in May. Netflix has announced the series has been picked up for a second season, expected to be released in 2025.
