ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Just a day after the soon-to-open Archer Music Hall in downtown Allentown released its 20-show initial lineup, it's already adding to the list of upcoming concerts.

Pop-soul group Lawrence, best known for its Top 40 Pop chart hit "Whatcha Want," will perform in the venue on Oct. 11, it was announced.

Tickets, the prices of which were not disclosed, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at The Archer website and the group's website.

Tickets, the prices of which were not disclosed, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at The Archer website and the group's website.

The show will be part of a tour to promote Lawrence's most recent album, last year's "Family Business."

The eight-piece Lawrence, fronted by siblings Grace and Clyde Lawrence, released its debut album, "Breakfast," in 2016.

"Family Business," its fourth disc, included its hit single "Don't Lose Sight," which was featured in a Microsoft commercial.

It peaked at No. 33 on the Pop chart and helped get Lawrence performance spot on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and "CBS Saturday Morning."

The group also recently performed "Whatcha Want," on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," "The Kelly Clarkson Show," "Today With Hoda & Jenna" and "CBS Saturday Morning."

The band opened for The Rolling Stones at MetLife Stadium in May, and opened for the Jonas Brothers on all of its 2023 North America tour.

Outside of the band, Gracie Lawrence is an actress who was a regular on the series "The Sex Lives of College Girls" on Max, and on Broadway, starring in "Just in Time," a new musical that tells the story of legendary singer Bobby Darin.

Joining a growing list

Lawrence joins a lineup at The Archer, announced Monday, of more than 20 shows, that will kick off with gold-selling Brazilian metal band Cavalera on March 8.

That will be followed by a March 14 show by comedian Jim Norton, a March 30 show by punk icons Dead Kennedys, one March 31 by former teen pop star JoJo, May 11 by Silverstein, May 18 by Lake Street Dive, June 12 by Static-X, July 24 by Drive-By Truckers & Deer Tick and July 25 by Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.

The 31,000-square-foot music hall “will attract a diverse slate of touring artists to the Lehigh Valley,” operators Live Nation has said.

The Archer, with its 1,600-capacity main performance space and 500-capacity venue called Arrow inside, has said it will present three or four shows by national touring acts each week.
