BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Bethlehem Area Public Library's annual fundraising concert, which seeks to turn up the volume — and donations — to 11 will return next month, it was announced.

11Fest will be from 5-11 p.m. Nov. 11 (11/11) inside the Main Library at 11 W. Church St., Bethlehem.

11Fest was named after a scene from the beloved 1984 comedy mockumentary film "This Is Spinal Tap" in which the band is able to play louder than everyone else because its amplifiers go up to 11, not just 10.

Tickets remain at $11 and are available on the Studio 11 webpage, but donations are always welcome.

"We’ll rock the books off the shelves as the celebration of Lehigh Valley’s music scene reaches a crescendo."

Proceeds will benefit Studio 11, the free, public-use recording studio in the library's basement.

The studio has recording equipment, instruments, hardware and software, and has been used by podcasters, rappers, rock bands, singers, audio book narrators and more.

From acoustic to full throttle

The concert again will feature 11 acts. They will be Wyatt Davidick, C'est La Vie, Mosaic Youth Choir, George Hrab and Cedar Green, Darryl Lix & the High Kicks, Hollow Howl, Hissy Fit, Ghost Wounds, Lo-fis and Leadpetal.

Making its first performance ever will be Hissy Fit, a Lehigh Valley Girls Rock band.

LVGR partners with BAPL each year to give young performers a place to rehearse and a platform to showcase their music.

As with every year, the event will follow its signature "1 to 11" format, starting with intimate acoustic sets and building steadily to full-throttle rock performances.

"We’ll rock the books off the shelves as the celebration of Lehigh Valley’s music scene reaches a crescendo with Leadpetal closing it out," the library said in a news release.
