Grammy-winning singer, British chanteuse, dance music icon coming to Wind Creek

Singers Melissa Etheridge and Joss Stone will play a show together at Wind Creek Event Center.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A female singer who has sold more than 15 million albums and won two Grammy Awards will return to Wind Creek Event Center, it was announced.

She'll be joined by a British songstress who has three gold and platinum albums in the United States.

Also announced for a show at the event center is a dance music hit-maker who has had nearly 20 hits on the dance and singles charts.

Melissa Etheridge, who had chart-topping songs such as “Bring Me Some Water,” “I’m the Only One” and “Come to My Window,” will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 26.

She'll be joined by Joss Stone, who from 2003-07 released three albums that went gold or platinum in the United States.

Tickets, at $61.50-$101.50 for Etheridge and Stone and $39.50-$79.50 for Dayne, go on sale at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 4, at the Wind Creek Event Center website or at the box office at 77 Wind Creek Blvd., Bethlehem.

Also added to the Wind Creek lineup was Taylor Dayne, who had the hits “Tell It To My Heart,” “Love Will Lead You Back” and “Prove Your Love,” among 18 Top 10 tunes.

Dayne will perform at 7 p.m. Nov. 17.

List of hits, awards

Etheridge’s 1993 album “Yes I Am,” with the hit “Come to My Window,” sold six times platinum. In all, she’s had six gold and platinum albums among the 16 studio discs she has released since 1988.

In all, she’s had 17 Top 20 songs on various charts, the latest of which was “Fearless Love" on the Adult Contemporary chart in 2010.

Etheridge’s latest album, “One Way Out" in 2021, failed to chart in the United States.

She’s been nominated for 15 Grammy Awards and has won two — both for Best Rock Female Vocal Performance. “It Ain’t Heavy” won in 1993 and “Come to My Window” in 1995.

She also won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2007 for “I Need to Wake Up,” from the Al Gore global-warming documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Etheridge, known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky voice, also played the event center in 2014 and 2017.

She also closed out Musikfest in 2003 with a sold-out show, then returned for a near-sellout show in 2006. Etheridge first played the area at Stabler Arena in 1990, and again in 1994.

Stone had four Top 20 hits in her native England in 2004 before crossing over to the Top 40 U.S. charts with a duet with Etheridge on "Cry Baby/Piece of My Heart" in 2005.

Her albums "Soul Sessions" in 2003 and "Introducing Joss Stone" in 2007 both achieved gold sales in the United States, and 2004's "Mind Body & Soul" went platinum.

Her latest album was "Merry Christman Love" in 2022.

Stone also played Wind Creek in 2023.

From chart-topper to dance icon

Taylor Dayne will perform at Wind Creek Event Center on Nov. 17.

Dayne's1988 debut album, "Tell It To My Heart," sold double platinum, with the title track peaking at No. 4 on the dance chart.

The disc also had the No. 1 Dance chart hit "Prove Your love," as well as Top 10 hits "I'll Always Love You" and "Don't Rush Me."

Her second album, 1989's "Can't Fight Fate,' also sold double platinum and had four Top 10 hits, including the chart-topping "Love Will Lead You Back."

Her third album, 1993's "Soul Dancing," achieved gold sales and had the no. 2 Dance chart hit "Can't Get Enough of Your Love."

Dayne's success since has been on the Dance chart, with 10 top 10 hits on that list, including the No. 1 hits "Planet Love" in 2000 and "Beautiful' in 2007.

Her most recent hit was "Floor on Fire," which hit no. 7 on the Dance chart in 2011.

Dayne played Musikfest Cafe at ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem in 2015, headlined Allentown's Mayfair festival in 2002 and played Bethlehem's Stabler Arena in 1990.
