Hall and Oates from 1973-90 had 23 songs that hit the Top 20, including six that hit No. 1 — “Rich Girl,” “Kiss on My List,” “Private Eyes,” "Out of Touch," “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)” and “Maneater.”
They had 14 albums that sold gold or platinum, the most successful of which was 1982's double-platinum "H2O," which contained the hits "Maneater," "One on One" and "Family Man."
Billboard magazine rated Hall and Oates No. 15 on its list of the 100 greatest artists of all time and the No. 1 duo.
In 2003, the duo was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The duo hasn’t put out a studio album of new material since 2003’s “Do It For Love.”
They released a Christmas album, “Home For Christmas,” in 2006; a live album, “Live at the Troubadour,” in 2008, and a compilation disc, “Do What You Want, Be What You Are: The Music of Hall & Oates” in 2009.
Area shows and solo career
Hall has released six solo albums, starting with "Sacred Songs" in 1980.
"Three Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine" in 1986 was his only solo disc to break the Top 30, and it contained his only single to break the Top 30, "Dreamtime," which peaked at No. 5.
His latest album was last year's "D," which contained the single "Can't Say No to You," a Top 20 hit on the Adult Contemporary chart.
The duo played two sold-out shows at then-Wind Creek in 2014 and 2013. They also played at Allentown's PPL Center in 2015 and headlined Allentown Fair in 2019.
With Squeeze, Tilbrook had the hits "Tempted," "Black Coffee in Bed" and "Pulling Mussels (From a Shell)."
