HANOVER TWP., LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa. — More than 95,000 passengers traveled through Lehigh Valley International Airport last month, coming up just short of the airport’s March traffic record.
That amounts to a 10% increase in passenger through movement from March 2024 to March 2025.
The airport logged just 188 fewer passengers last month than it saw for March 2004, its best March on record. So far this year, passenger traffic is up nearly 9% compared with the first three months of 2024.Lehigh Valley International Airport statistics
The airport logged just 188 fewer passengers last month than it saw for March 2004, its best March on record.
The numbers were released during Lehigh Valley Airport Authority's meeting Thursday.
So far this year, passenger traffic is up nearly 9% compared with the first three months of 2024.
Looking ahead, the number of seats available on flights to and from LVIA in April increased about 13% compared with April 2024.
That's in line with the increases in traffic the airport has logged so far this year.
So far, airlines flying out of LVIA have scheduled slightly fewer seats for May and June than they did for the same period last year, potentially limiting the airport’s passenger growth in the second quarter of this year.
“It’s hard to predict beyond that, but it’s certainly something we’re keeping an eye on at this point,” said Airport Director of Finance and Administration Todd Quann said.
